Lil Wayne steals Young Jeezy show

He wasn’t the headliner, but that didn’t stop Lil Wayne from stealing the show from Young Jeezy on Thursday night as the Street Dream Tour rolled through Milwaukee.
Following mediocre performances by newcomer Rich Boy and Harlem-native Jim Jones at the U.S. Cellular Arena, Wayne stormed onto the stage with a huge presence, running through aggressive, ego-driven tracks like “Tha Mobb,” “Fireman” and “Hustler Musik.”

Without help or hindrance from any stage-crowding hype men, Wayne became a blur at times, racing back and forth but never losing his breath. In fact, his voice had a crisp, almost CD-grade quality to it, and his timing was nearly perfect. Read more

Lil Wayne and Young Jeezy Team Up for Tour

Young Jeezy and Lil Wayne will begin a string of U.S. tour dates together on March 3 in Charlotte, North Carolina. The tour borrows a Young Jeezy phrase for its title, “The Street Dream Tour”, and also includes Rich Boy, Fat Joe, Jim Jones, and Baby on the bill.

Young Jeezy has a few dates by himself before the tour starts, including a show tonight at Las Vegas’ Icehouse Lounge. All confirmed dates are below.

Bill O’Reilly Hates on Luda’s Grammy Win & Rap In General

Opining that the Grammy Award given to rap singer Ludacris was probably the result of a liberal campaign, Bill O’Reilly expressed mystification Monday night over how a rapper who uses the N-word repeatedly in his lyrics, along with other obscenities, could be honored with a top Grammy award.

“After winning, Ludacris thanked a whole bunch of people,” O’Reilly said, playing a tape of the singer saying, “Thanks to Bill O’Reilly, I love you.”

Said O’Reilly; “It’s nice to be loved.”

Bow Wow Launches New Label,The LB Dub Gang

AllHipHop reported that rapper/actor Bow Wow is exploring his entrepreneurial side by launching a new record label.

Bow Wow, who hit the music industry at the tender age of five, hopes to recreate the magic that propelled him to superstar status with his first artist, 13-year-old Young Jinsu.

“I’m passing the Lil Bow Wow torch to Jinsu,” Bow Wow said. “This Bow Wow movement with teenagers, girls and kids goes back to Jermaine being a mentor, father figure and learning from him and watching him for the past seven years.” Read more
